Communism & Capitalism

As a way of understanding the world, Marx seems to me to have it just right. As a way of fixing the world, it hasn't seemed to work on any group bigger than about three people.

My conclusion is that capitalism works because it depends on selfishness. Communism fails because it depends on goodness. But when capitalism works as designed, only a few are happy. When communism works as designed all are happy.

An over simplification of course, but it’s a good thumbnail.
