In democracy the power of individuals is expressed in the state. It seems inevitable then, that in a democracy, that the state would serve the interests of the people.
How is it then, that in our (United States) democracy, the power of the many is dedicated to serving the few? How are the many fooled into voting against their self-interest? The propaganda which fools us is so central to our society that we hardly see it. It is all around us; it exists in the media, the schools, the business world, and even in the church. It is hard to recognize that propaganda, but once you start to see it, you will see it everywhere.
